Glad you made it!

I probably gave you this URL after we met so I could share something I rambled on about; one of my random projects or rants probably. Either that or you actually found the page independently, so I’m impressed (and vaguely concerned for your algorithm)!

I’m Sheena. I am a miscellaneous artist/comms bod/information scientist/nerd.

I write about stuff in my life, including:

Having cancer and the treatment inducing Lovecraftian-protagonist levels of insanity, leading to vaguely Night Vale-esque ‘journalism’ and an outbreak of what passes for poetry when you have chemo brain

My theory about how content creators are a core subset of humanity and always have been

Having a neurodivergent list fetish

And that one time I found out about data sonification and spent 48 hours turning a Met Office data set into music

I am also known as Pop Sauropod, so go here for my main art and jewellery website, including the Mohs Necklace project and the No Green City photos.

If you fancy geeking out about art, information, data, comms and generally being a human person with an actual skeleton and meat and everything, you can email me.

(I also wrote a book in 2017: From stats to social media: sharing and promoting your research online using an information spectrum approach which takes you through a diagram I devised to show the spectrum of content which makes up an efficient and effective way of sharing complex information.

It is terribly dated so don’t buy it. I will send you a PDF if you like.)
